About Me

My photo
Kristin Seymour
My name is Kristin Seymour and I am a junior at St. Mary's Honors College of Maryland. I am majoring in Art and Art History with a focus in photography and digital art. I am minoring in Education and have completed many teaching/tutoring placements in the local Elementary schools. I love kids and work well with people. I am a hard worker and thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment. I have six part time jobs while attending full time schooling and successfully provide for my jobs and leadership positions as well as maintaining a high GPA. I love learning new techniques to create my art work. I thoroughly enjoy being able to make something great out of nothing. I use what I see around me in the world to create new and innovative art works. Most recently I have became highly interested in the organic textures and shapes found in nature. I have used my photographs of these fascinating textures to create patterns I wish to place on clothing and other 3D objects. I am constantly changing as an artist and coming up with new and creative ideas/artworks, but in the end I am consistently keeping the under threaded topic in my art as "Seeing what the eye cannot show us."
